Our Story
Founder, Motondi Gerard Oroo was born in Kenya, 1965. He once studied Fine Art and Kiswahili in Kenyatta University and won a 2nd class Honors upper division. Besides, he is also a MA (Fine art) –sculpture holder and an ongoing Fine Art PHD student at the same Institution. Since 2006, he has been teaching Art and Crafts in Asumbi Teachers College. Motondi Gerard Oroo has a unique keen talent that only African artists possess.
He has a special feeling towards things and can express those feelings through his unique art language. Endless striving and exploring make him a outstanding African sculptor. In 2008, he received a Gold medal in Olympic torch, Olympic fine art- Beijing. This was followed by, Head of State Commendation received in 2011, Kenya.
In 2013, he got Award to create Mashujaa Monumental Sculpture at Uhuru Gardens, Nairobi Kenya. Motondi Gerard Oroo has also taken part in some international sculpture seminars held in Kenya, India, America, etc. which have lived to be remembered.
